Our first annual Tour of Historic Homes and Sites will feature a guided tour with a stop at Briarwood Manor on Main Street in Newfoundland, a visit at the Newfoundland Moravian Church and Cemetery, followed by a short walk to the 1955 Flood Memorial in Carlton Drake Memorial Park. Transportation to the park will also be available. The program will conclude at The Hotel with a discussion of their historic photograph displays. This is a free event open to the public, but registration is suggested. Please contact Ruth Altemier at 570-676-4354 or firstname.lastname@example.org. All participants will meet at Peggy Bancroft Hall at 9:30 AM and will be invited to carpool to the various sites. The tour will be hosted by Ruth Altemier. The tour is expected to last about 2- 3 hours, and participants are welcome to remain at our last stop, The Hotel, for a Dutch treat lunch with our host.
