Greetings Members and Friends!
It was so nice to gather in early March at our annual soup luncheon. What a pleasure it was to see our friends, catch up with their lives and commiserate about the storms and power outages over the past few weeks. As always the soups, breads and desserts where delicious, and I thank all of our volunteers for their efforts in providing us with such a delightful luncheon.
Our 2018 Board of Directors kept busy through the winter months connecting with various committees in order to plan our programs, evaluate expenses, and prepare our budget for the year. I thank them all for dedicating their time through some dicey weather to attend our planning meetings.
We have another great year ahead of us! Our first meeting in April starts with a very appropriate subject, “Heirloom Gardening.” Check your 2018 Calendar of Events for our interesting line up of program speakers and some new twists to our open houses and offsite events.
In order to keep our members and visitors informed about the Society and our activities, we are very excited to announce the official launch of our new website in March. Plus, you can also follow us on Facebook and sign up for email reminders for instant updates.
As always, I am looking forward to seeing you. Please remember that all of our activities are free and open to the public, so bring you family and friends. — Jeanne Brown
