Please join us in celebrating the launch of our new book, Greene-Dreher in the Great War, by Bernadine A. Lennon. To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of America’s entry into World War I, this unique book tells the stories of 142 local men and women who served in the Great War. Based on extensive research, it documents their military service—where they trained, the units they were assigned to, and where they served—and describes America’s role during the war as seen through the eyes of these young men and women. Hundreds of images complement and enhance the narrative. The veterans’ biographies also include information about their families and their post-war lives after they returned home.
The Book Launch will take place during our Fall Festival at Peggy Bancroft Hall on Saturday, October 12, from 11:00 to 2:00. Copies will be available for purchase, and Bernadine will be on hand to autograph her book.
