Spanish Influenza of 1918

|

On Monday, October 1,  Ann O’Hara of the Wayne County Historical Society shared a well done and informative presentation on “The Spanish Influenza of 1918-1920”.  This strain of influenza became a pandemic spanning across six continents.  This flu affected nearly 500 million people, killing between 50 to 100 million of those infected.

We would like to thank Ann O’Hara who stepped in to replace our scheduled speaker, who was unable to attend.

Our next monthly program is our annual salute to veterans with the Wallenpaupack Area South Elementary Chorus. For the fourth year, the chorus will delight their audience with patriotic musical selections. As always, this musical event is free and open to the public.
