Girl Scouts Beautify Cemeteries

|

Girl Scout Troop 50749, under the leadership of Tracy Stender, participated in the Historical Society’s Cemetery Beautification Project on May 24. This is the third year the troop has planted colorful flowers at the entrances to the historic Kipptown, Hazelton and Gilpin Cemeteries. The plants and potting soil were donated by Growers Garden Center in Newfoundland. The Cemetery Committee is chaired by Ruth Altemier, and the wooden planting boxes were built by Roger Altemier.

The Cemetery Beautification Project is sponsored by Palazzi Landscape Gardening, a 2019 Business Partner.
