DJ Roberts

In celebration of Lake Wallenpaupack’s 100th Anniversary and Lacawac Sanctuary’s 60th Anniversary, D.J. Roberts and Bernadine Lennon will present an informative program on the prehistory of the Wallenpaupack Valley and the events and people leading to the creation of Lake Wallenpaupack. To register for this free program, please go to lacawac.org or contact Bernadine Lennon at 570-857-0882 or balennon@att.net.

D.J. Roberts is a local historian and presenter recognized for his expertise on the construction and history of Lake Wallenpaupack, often sharing little-known facts about the project. His work helps preserve the heritage of the Lake Wallenpaupack region and its evolution from a hydroelectric project into a major economic force to both Wayne and Pike counties.

Bernadine Lennon is Director Emerita of the Greene-Dreher Historical Society, where she currently serves as Program Chair. She also writes local history articles for the Society’s newsletter, Echoes From the Greene Hills. Her research focuses on the lives and experiences of the individuals who have created the rich history of the Wallenpaupack Valley.

Light refreshments will be provided following their talk. The program is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Historical Society’s Business Partner, The Dime Bank.
