The Greene-Dreher Historical Society will participate in CCC Day at Promised Land State Park with a display that highlights local history and the stories of some of the men who worked at the park from its inception in the early 1900s. The annual CCC Day honors the men who worked for the Civilian Conservation Corp in the 1930s and the role they played in creating this and other state parks across Pennsylvania. There will be a lecture and book signing at Noon and an Historic Site Tour at 1:00 pm. The Blacksmith Shop and the Masker Museum will be open with artifacts not normally on display to the visiting public. Food will be available for purchase from Roadside Bistro and Manning’s Ice Cream.
