We are surrounded by a wondrous plant world of infinite variety that oftentimes goes unnoticed and unappreciated by the casual observer. Long-time gardener and herbalist Ann Wiedenman will share information on common and not-so-common Pocono woodland and roadside plants and their many uses throughout history up to the present day—from culinary to medicinal and from practical to decorative. A member of the Herb Society of America, Ann will bring interesting specimens from her garden and the surrounding countryside to show participants, as well as a variety of reference books from her extensive library.
Light refreshments will follow Ann’s talk.
